AS3 Dependency Information
Available since ASV 2016/02.23

AS3 Dependency Information dialog lets you view the script dependency information for the selected script.
To open this dialog, select a script in AS3 scripts or Inheritance tree and use View Script Dependency Info command either from Actionscript or the context menu, or click on the toolbar in Actionscripts tab.


Click Close or press Escape to dismiss the dialog.

Qualified name of the selected script is displayed at the top.

Scripts on which the selected script depends are shown in the Uses Tree tab.


Initially unexpanded Uses tree will list the scripts that are directly used by the selected script. Expanding a script will show the scripts it uses (depends on), hence the selected script indirectly depends on.


Scripts which depend on the selected script are shown in the Used-By Tree tab.


Initially unexpanded Used-By tree will list the scripts that directly use the selected script. Expanding a script name will show the scripts which use (depend on) that script, hence indirectly depend on the selected script.

In both trees, along with standard script icons,
  • icon indicates circular dependency,

  • , etc. black and white icons indicate the script is already displayed elsewhere in the tree,

  • icon indicates that the script is not found in the current SWF/ABC file,

  • icon indicates a package.

Context Menu
  • Click View Used-By Tree for [Scriptname] to reset the dialog, make the current script selected and switch to the Used-By Tree tab.

  • Click View Uses Tree for [Scriptname] to reset the dialog, make the current script selected and switch to the Uses Tree tab.

  • Click Close and Select in SWF Window to close the dialog and select the current script in scripts tree in the SWF window Actionscripts tab.

  • Click Copy to copy qualified name of the current script to clipboard.
